March 2015 Wrap Up

Review: Fight Club

Fight Club
Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I listened to this on audio. Warning: Do not listen with young ones. This book is for mature audiences only. Lots of inappropriate language, mental illness, and deals with suicide. It repeats a lot "You Do Not Talk About Fight Club".

Review: White Hot Kiss

White Hot Kiss
White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

First of all, I had no clue to what this book was about. I really thought it was a new adult book but I was so wrong. It was mainly about gargoyles, vampires, demons, zombies with a love triangle too. It was definitely action packed which made me want to read more. Certainly will pick up the next book soon.

Review Insurgent by Veronica Roth Book vs Movie spoilers

Review: Insurgent

Insurgent
Insurgent by Veronica Roth

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 1/2 stars! Let's just say that I really enjoyed the book. Yes, there were some slow parts but you needed them to be connected with the characters.

The movie I was very disappointed with all the changes they made.

Review: Trouble

Trouble
Trouble by Non Pratt

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I read this with a goodreads group called Read with Friends. It is by a London author so the writing style was a bit to get used to in the beginning and I felt it was more new adult since the language was a bit inappropriate. The main story is about Hannah who is 15 years old and she is pregnant. There are twists and turns in this book which really kept me interested to keep reading. After getting used to the writing style I was able to enjoy the entire story.

Review: Written in Red

Written in Red
Written in Red by Anne Bishop

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 1/2 stars. I listened to this on audio. I went into this book not knowing anything. It has some inappropriate language and it jumps quite a bit. It's mainly about wolves and shapeshifting. I enjoyed the parts where the main character treats one little wolf as a dog. I think this book would probably be better read than listened to. Will probably continue this series in book form.

Review: Inside the O'Briens

Inside the O'Briens
Inside the O'Briens by Lisa Genova

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I would like to thank Net Gallery for the early copy of this book in return for my honest review.

This book was about a man, Joe, who is in his 40's, a police officer who was diagnosed with Huntington's Disease. This disease is a deadly one which has no cure. It runs through families. The story is told by Joe and one of his daughters Katie. Joe is married to Rosie and has 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. I really enjoyed reading this book and learning more about this deadly inherited disease.

I was disappointed with the ending because the book just ended and I wanted to know more.
